Zamfara Holds Training On Environment And Social Risk Assessment For ANRIN 2.0 Project

The Zamfara State Ministry of Budget and Planning has organised a training on Environmental and Social Risk Assessment for stakeholders implementing the Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria, ANRIN 2.0 Project.
The training, held at Jaiz International Hotel, Gusau, brought together representatives of government agencies, civil society organisations, traditional institutions and other stakeholders involved in the implementation of the project.
Declaring the training open, the E-S PHCDA, Dr. Hussain Yakubu Anka, stressed the importance of effective environmental and social risk assessment in ensuring the successful implementation and sustainability of development projects.
In their goodwill messages, the representative of Civil Society Organisations, Nasiru Usman Biyabiki, and the representative of the traditional institution, Alhaji Garba Kekun Gada, commended the organisers for bringing stakeholders together and expressed their support for the objectives of the training.
The State Project Coordinator and Director of Social Protection, Hajiya Safiya Ibrahim, presented the objectives of the meeting, while the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation in the Ministry of Budget and Planning, Isma’il, gave a general overview of the ANRIN 2.0 Project.
Other presentations focused on various components of the project, including Component One on health, presented by health lead Abdulrazaq Bashiru, while Umar Abdullahi Kanoma presented Component Two on agriculture.
The Budget Lead, Mr. Sufiyanu Sambo, presented Component Three of the project, on budget while Buhari Aliyu Liman discussed the Security Risk Management Plan and Environmental and Social Framework.
The training also featured a presentation on gender-related issues by Hadiza Ibrahim Yako, aimed at promoting gender inclusion and addressing social considerations in the implementation of the project.
In a closing remarks, the state project coordinator Hajiya Safiya Ibrahim appreciated the participants for their contributions and urged them to apply the knowledge gained from the training to enhance effective and sustainable implementation of the ANRIN 2.0 Project in Zamfara State. of the ANRIN 2.0 Project in Zamfara State.
